Non-Stop Marking

Marks are awarded as follows:

5
        Fails to complete the section.
           The machine moves backwards.

           The engine stops with rider or any part of the machine (except the tyres)

           touching the ground.


           The rider dismounts the machine.
           The machine crosses the boundary tape or dislodges the marker, or
           misses the markers.
           The rider has outside assistance.
           The rider 'loops out' i.e. takes and excessively wide line in the view of the oberver.
           The rider crosses a line he/she has already ridden in the section.

3        Footing or stopping more than twice.

2        Foot twice, footing once whilst stopped or stopping twice.

1        Footing once or stopping once.

0        Completing the section unpenalised.        

Footing will have occurred if any part of the rider’s body touches the ground or the rider benefits from any part of his body leaning on an obstacle without stopping the process of the machine.

Stopping, if the machine ceases forward motion for approx 3 or more seconds, a slight pause is allowed.

The machine is in the section when the front spindle passes the start gate and is out of the section when the front spindle passes the end gates.
